YouTube OAC

OAC or Official Artist Channel – is a unique concept introduced by YouTube to consolidate users’ accounts under a single channel. This means that instead of having separate channels for an artist’s official content, a YouTube Music artist channel, and a VEVO channel, users will now only see the streamlined Official Artist Channel.

But how can you get an OAC? To be eligible for an Official Artist Channel, ensure that you meet the following criteria:

  • You must own and operate a YouTube channel representing one artist or band.
  • Have at least one art track (release on YouTube Music) submitted.
  • Upload at least three videos to your personal channel in addition to the release from a distributor, such as Chezaa.
  • Ensure your channel has no policy violations.

However, it’s essential to be aware that your request may be rejected if your channel falls into any of the following categories:

  • The channel’s primary focus is not music.
  • The channel belongs to a label and not an individual artist.
  • The main channel and the topic channel have different artist names.
  • The artist’s channel contains a substantial amount of non-original content.
  • The artist hasn’t uploaded any content to their Owned & Operated channel.
  • The artist hasn’t distributed their music to YouTube Music via Chezaa.
  • The topic channel includes content from other similarly named artists, in which case, both a topic channel fix and an OAC request are necessary.

Please keep in mind that OAC requests currently take approximately 1-3 months for YouTube to process. We appreciate your patience, and while we cannot expedite the requests, we will submit yours as swiftly as possible.
